Sunny side up
Btw another fun fact for the people who know me and my shitty MacBook -> the charger died a few days ago so JEEJ no more schoolwork and Papers for me to write (lol would love it when this counts as a legit reason to just skip al the assignments but nope)
On the other side...
I finished my last days on ICU and I would like to thank the team because they were very warm and they didn't make me feel as a stranger. We could laugh with al the differences and we were really open to each other. They helped me with my thesis, my struggles and even in the 3rd week they already knew me so well that they saw that I was struggling with some things because I wasn't myself. I've learnt A LOT and saw the most crazy cases like stab wounds in the heart or a serious poly trauma. I've noticed these 3 weeks that I really like the thrill of ICU and if it's still possible in Belgium after I graduate, I would like to start the post graduate on ICU and emergency. I don't know yet how ICU functions in Belgium but I'm looking forward to explore it. Fun fact 3: my team took me and Max to two pubs (one in which we could sing karaoke hahaha YESYESYES) to finish my internship on a nice note. I really enjoyed this though it was a little bit weird to go dancing and drinking with the people who still had to evaluate me 🙈

also: our friends of Cape Town came to visit us and Lieselot moved here because her internship also starts this week jeeeeeej. Now we're at the residence with 3 Belgian people and 2 Dutch people hehehe MAJORITY
It was a crazy weekend with a few struggles and I seriously had to calm my temper but luckily we are all nice people and sunday was like THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE. I touched and walked with the elephaaaaaants of Knysna ♥️
It felt really unreal and although the guide told us it could be dangerous and we had to be careful, I didn't feel unsafe at all... I sincerely can say that this was the best experience ever and I'm so happy that I did it. Btw it wasn't sad at all for the elephants. They live in a really big place and the people don't let other people take joy rides on them. They are really taken care of and the 'only negative thing' (yes ofcourse they still live in captivity and it's a tourist attraction but it's a really nice place for them and people have to stick to the rules or they will be kicked out) is that they see and meet people all day.
